CIHSR signs MoU with ICH; launches tobacco cessation prog

Dimapur, Jan 21: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Christian Institute of Health Sciences Research (CIHSR), Dimapur and Impur Christian Hospital (ICH), Impur under ABAM for partnership and networking in various fields including training and professional supports, on January 20.
During the programme, Dr. Sedevi Angami and several heads of disciplines of CIHSR presented their activities, while Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger, executive secretary, ABAM and Dr. Sashimeren Aier, chairman of Board of Trustee, ICH spoke on behalf of ICH.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Viu Meru of CIHSR, while dedication prayer was pronounced by Rev. Dr. Atsongchanger.
In a separate programme, Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) launched a tobacco cessation programme, on January 20.
Dr. C Tetseo, District Program Officer NTCP, while highlighting the purpose of the centre, stated that people with problems would come to private and corporate hospitals and CIHSR is in unique position to offer cessation services for the benefit of the people.
Dr. Vikato Kinimi, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sedievi, Director of CIHSR and Dr. Viu Meru, Deputy Director of CIHSR also delivered speeches.
DTCC also provided smokelyser and some medicines for the centre. The programme was chaired by Dr. Atsung Aier. The function was attended by doctors, nurses and staff of the hospital.
