Salesian College undergoes academic and administrative audit
DIMAPUR — Salesian College of Higher Education in Dimapur hosted a peer team from the Directorate of Higher Education for an academic and administrative audit (AAA) on Monday.
The team members included Dr. Watijungshi Jamir, retired additional director of Higher Education and convener; Dr. RK Behera, vice principal of MGM College; and Dr. Thepfuvilie Pieru, principal of Patkai Christian College (autonomous), according to a press release.
The AAA team conducted a comprehensive review of the college’s academic and administrative functions to ensure that the institution adheres to the highest standards of quality education and effective administration. The audit aimed to provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement and to highlight strengths and areas for development within the college.
During the review, principal Fr. Dr. Paul Punii, SDB, presented the developmental and administrative activities of the college over the past years, along with an overview of the institution’s progress and strategic initiatives.
The internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) coordinator, Sr. Mercy Philip, MSMHC, presented a detailed account of the quality initiatives undertaken by the IQAC. Subsequently, each department presented their reports, showcasing departmental activities, achievements, and future plans.
At the exit meeting, the peer team shared their recommendations, suggestions, and observations, providing feedback for the institution’s continuous improvement.
