Home department invites recommendation for Governor’s award

DIMAPUR — The Home department has sought recommendations for Governor’s gold medals and commendation certificates to be given away on Independence Day 2024 latest by July 5.

It stated that details of candidates recommended should be per the format given in Annexure-A and added that precise recommendations/ citations should not exceed one page [A4 size].

It informed that recommendations/ citation in respect of gazetted officers should be submitted through the concerned head of department and the administrative head of department should duly sign and forward the same to Special Secretary of Home department.

It stated that recommendations/ citations in respect of non-gazetted staff, the head of department should sign and forward it to the Special Secretary of Home department.

In the case of Police, Home Guards, Prisons and Fire Services, the recommendations should come through their respective Director Generals/ Head of the Department to the Special Secretary of Home Department.

In respect of NGOs, individuals and employees working under the establishment of the deputy commissioners, the deputy commissioners should submit the recommendations to the Commissioner, who in turn should sign and forward it to the Special Secretary of Home department.

The recommendation should include name and surname (in full and block letters), designation, full address and contact number (if any), profession (in case of non-officials), main field of activities, whether the nominee holds any other award in the (name of award and year) and citation.
