KOHIMA — Advisor of Land Resources, G IkutoZhimomi, on Wednesday inaugurated a coffee shop called ‘Café Hornbill’ at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
The newly constructed coffee shop was completed within 14 days by architect Richard Belho and his team.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Zhimomi stated that the Café Hornbill would be a reflection of Nagaland coffee. He informed that Nagaland, under the leadership of the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, will one day be declared as ‘Land of black gold’ besides being the land of festivals.
He added that Hornbill Festival is not just an extravaganza cultural event but has also become the biggest industry in generating employment avenues for the youth of the state. He further called upon the youth to venture into entrepreneurship for self-employment.
Also speaking on the occasion, the chairman of IDAN and advisor to the chief minister, Abu Metha, expressed confidence that a small coffee cafe would make a huge impact and become a brand ambassador of Nagaland to the world.
