DIMAPUR — Tuensang district planning and development board (DPDB) has recommended setting up of a helipad in Noksen and new government school in Yungphang village.
The recommendations were made during the monthly DPDB meeting held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office in Tuensang on Wednesday. The meeting was presided over by the chairman of Tuensang DPDB, MLA Imtichuba Chang, stated a DIPR report.
During the meeting, Eleutherous Christian Society (ECS) made a presentation on waste management in Tuensang town. It was decided that a committee would be formed to promote awareness and for proper waste segregation at the household level. It stated that the board has recommended NABARD for the development of water resources and watersheds in the Laktak, Moyangse, and Chendang catchment areas.
The board also endorsed establishment of sub-centres in Ngangpong and Eshou villages as well as the creation of a ginger processing unit in Tuensang.
Distinguished members including Berimong Chang, SDO of Tuensang; Küdazo Swüro, EAC; Maomongba, DPO Land; I Changsonla, Coy commander of HG/SDRF; and MhaonchanYanthan, EO KVIB, Tuensang, were also present in the meeting.
Report further stated that departmental activities were presented by NST and Sericulture departments respectively.
