ANSTA Peren appeals to expedite DIET building construction

Dimapur, Aug. 5 (EMN): Peren unit of the All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has expressed dismay over the indifferent attitude of the concerned authority pertaining to the construction of DIET building in Peren district, which it alleged was on the verge of abandoning.

The unit president, Kaibakam Pamai, and the general secretary, Haidun, claimed that only a quarter of the works had been done when its officials visited the site. It stated that the work was to be completed in 2016.

While highlight the hardship faced by the teachers in travelling to other districts such as Kohima and Dimapur for training, the unit had demanded the concerned authority to start the work from August and complete by December 2022.

The unit further warned to initiate agitation or legal course of action if their demand was not paid heed to.
