DC Dimapur launches online registration of births, deaths

Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, launched the online registration of birth and death in his office conference hall on Tuesday. 

In his short speech, Rajesh acknowledged the achievements of the Economic and Statistics department and called for generating public awareness about the online registration programme and specifically in maintaining singular name during registration. Pointing out that online registration would bring about uniformity in the system, he urged the hospital authorities/ CMO to coordinate with the district economic and statistics officer (DESO), Dimapur, for proper and authenticate registration, a DIPR report stated.

Meanwhile, R Akang, joint director and DESO of Dimapur, informed that people could register online within 21 days for both birth and death. He also informed that the public could go to Google and type crsorgi.gov.in and click to civil registration system CRS portal and further click general public sign up to generate user ID for logging into the system.
