Dimapur, May 8 (EMN): Sazolie College organised its 13th parting social on April 30 at the college auditorium.
An update from the college stated that the programme began with a welcome song presented by students of IV semester, while speech on behalf of the juniors was delivered by Boingam Y Konyak and a song was presented by Moainba Jamir, Sentisangla Oungh and Khriezhalie Theunuo. It stated that the speech on behalf of the seniors was delivered by Marükho Pfozhe, class representative of VI semester.
In his exhortation, the college principal, Dr. Gomesh Mosaharry, underlined the importance of mental, spiritual and physical well-being stating that the balance of those three factors are vital to a healthy and successful life.
On the occasion, Marükho Pfozhe, a semester VI students from English department, was conferred “The Student of the Year 2022 Award.” He received a certificate and a cash prize of INR 5000.
It mentioned that the ‘Student of the Year Award’ is selected each year from semester VI by the academic committee of the college. The selection is based on his/ her academic and co-curricular activities.
The vote of thanks was given by Rokoneizo Nagi. The formal session was followed with an entertainment programme which featured a song by Imlisenla and friends, dance by Awoka and Kerimong, beatbox by Tovishe and friends, special number by Otisanen and friends and drama by Pilangthung and friends.
