Dimapur, April 26 (EMN): As part of its platinum jubilee celebration, chairman of the Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK), Ahoto Zhimo, flagged off a two-wheeller rally in Zukihe village on Tuesday.
WSBAK executive secretary, Rev. Phughoto Sema, told this newspaper that the two-wheeller rally is being organised to mark its 75 years anniversary. He has acknowledged all the participants, especially the lone female rider. He updated that 495 two wheelers have registered for the rally.
“Through this programme, we want to convey and herald the platinum jubilee to all the Sumi churches that we are one,” he said.
Pointing that there so much disunity among the tribes, students union and hohos in the present scenario he said, “Therefore, we are to convey a message that we are one and we should live in peace and unity and we should be able to show example to the Nagas and to the world.”
He informed that they would try to cover the whole of western Sumi areas starting from Zukihe village including Phuhoto, Nawghat, Naojan, Pan Jan, P Vihoto, Kikheyi, Rengma Pani, Zuheshe, Niuland, Ato Area, Seithekema, Jhorna Pani, Kiyevi, Pimla Bazaar, Kiyeto and conclude with a thanksgiving service at Thilixu Sumi Baptst Church.
He added that the followers in the cars would stop at various locations and offer prayers.
Rev. Xuvishe Zhimo, pastor of Kuhoxu Baptist Church, said a prayer before flagging off.
