Dimapur, Feb. 23 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, inaugurated a marketing shed-cum-vegetable godown constructed under DRDA in Zunheboto town on February 23.
A DIPR report stated that the project director of DRDA, Zunheboto, K Inavi Chishi, handed over the facilities to the ADC and administrator of town council, Moakumzuk Tzudir.
Speaking on the occasion, Lichamo stated that the vegetable godown, which was built under MGNREGA, would benefit vegetable growers and buyers in many ways. He urged the Zunheboto Town Committee to utilise the marketing shed and the vegetable godown in proper ways in order to serve its purpose for the benefit of the public.
The programme was chaired by APO-cum-programme officer of MGNREGA, Kuhucuyi.
Short speeches were delivered by ADC and administrator of ZTC, Moakumzuk Tzudir; BDO of RD block Akuluto, Kuputo Achumi; and vegetable vendor, Hoshivi. The dedicatory prayer was said by assistant youth leader of Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church (ZTSBC), Nupato Zhimo.
