Nagaland reports 15 new Covid-19 cases, 36 recoveries

Dimapur, Feb. 19 (EMN): Nagaland reported 15 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 35,355 while the active caseload declined to 295 with the recovery of 36 patients — 19 in Dimapur, 10 in Kohima, six in Tuensang and one in Mokokchung.
The total number of recoveries so far has increased to 32,831 and the death toll remained unchanged at 749 with no fatalities reported in the last 24 hours.
An update from the department of Health and Family Welfare informed that seven Covid cases were detected in Dimapur, four in Mokokchung, and one each in Kohima, Peren and Phek.
Of the 295 active cases in the state, 211 are asymptomatic, 79 mild, three moderate on oxygen and two in ICU on ventilator, it added.
India logs 22270 new cases
India’s Covid-19 tally climbed to 4,28,02,505 on Saturday as 22,270 more people tested positive for the viral disease, according to data from the Union Health ministry.
The death toll reached to 5,11,230 with 325 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
The active cases declined to 2,53,739 with 60,298 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours.
With the administration of more than 36.28 lakh (36,28,578) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 175.03 crore (1,75,03,86,834).
