Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): Popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile has seen an epidemic of hackers cheating in its game since it started in 2018. However, PUBG Mobile‘s new anti-cheat system has been working overtime to combat the same.

The company has announced today that its new anti-cheat system has successfully banned 38,84,690 accounts for cheating in the game.

PUBG Mobile has achieved tremendous success since its launch. The game was among the finalists for the Esports game of the year award presented by the prestigious Esports Awards and has grossed over $2.6 billion in revenue.

Along with the huge success, PUBG Mobile also had its fair share of problems of which cheating was the biggest concern. PUBG Mobile developers have been routinely pushing updates to combat new vulnerabilities and the inbuilt anti-cheat system has largely been successful.

The company has announced that its anti-cheat system had banned over 3.8 million accounts this week, i.e., from June 18 to June 24. The anti-cheat system had previously banned more than 2.5 million accounts last month.

Needless to say, the anti-cheat system has been beneficial for the company and players alike. The company revealed some interesting data on the cheating problem. It revealed that 80 per cent of the cheaters were in the mid-tier to high-tier ranks and surprisingly 76 per cent of cheaters were using character modification cheats.
