Dimapur, June 21 (EMN): 173 Battalion of CRPF also celebrated International Yoga Day at unit headquarters, airfield Dimapur on Monday. It said that the day was observed following all social distancing norms in view of Covid-19 pandemic. Officers from the unit as well as family members and unit personnel participated in the programme. Sh Chunggin Hangsing, second-In-command, 173 Bn, highlighted the significance and benefits of Yoga. It said that yoga was playing an important role during Covid pandemic as Yoga boosts the immunity and is known to cure respiratory disorders.
Similarly, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Nagaland participated in 7th International Yoga Day on Monday. An update stated around 18,000 youths joined the session from all districts of the state.
‘Action photos poured in for records, in line with global concerns around the Covid-19 pandemic emphasing the significance of maintaining good health, but within constraints of social distancing,’ it added.
Meanwhile, the 93 Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF), Chedema, Kohima, under its commander, Commandant Surinder Singh, also organised a yoga session on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
