Northeast Frontier Railway observes International Level Crossing Awareness Day

Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): With an aim to sensitise the people on road safety and prevent accidents at level crossing gates, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Assam observed “International Level Crossing Awareness Day” under the leadership of Manoj Kumar Agrawal, principal chief safety officer and his safety team on Thursday.

An update informed that during the last as well as the current financial year 2020-2021, due to increased emphasis on alertness and implementation of various safety measures, there has been no fatality from train accidents in NFR even during the lockdown period, despite an increase in movement of freight and parcel carrying trains.
