KSCDL appeals to treat roadside plantations with diligence
Dimapur, Oct. 5 (EMN): Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL) has appealed to the citizens to treat the roadside plantations in the state capital with ‘due diligence’ as it is public property.
In an effort to ‘beautify, spruce, facelift and also absorb dust pollutants in the city,’ Kohima Smart City has been undertaking plantations along the NH-2 roadsides from Naga Hospital colony till Phesama checkgate under Green Belt Development phase-I, an update stated on Monday.
KSCDL stated that instances have been occurring in the recent past of “certain elements indulging in destroying, stealing and marring similar plantations within the city, the most recent being opposite SKV petrol pump on the night of October 4, 2020 where mature plants were uprooted and taken away”.
It therefore requested all to ‘desist from such activities for the general benefit of all’.
