The 9th open Naga wrestling championship 2015 under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) and Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) as the host, has been preponed to March 12 due to some unavoidable circumstances. The champion will fetch a cash prize of Rs. 1.50 lakh while the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place will be awarded with Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively.
The quarter finalists will receive Rs. 8000 each and Rs. 4000 each for pre-quarter finalists.
Forms has been made available at Sports World, old Taxi stand, Kohima, ASA president, CWA president, ZWA president, Life Centre, Pfutsero and those from Manipur state have been informed to contact NWA joint secretary at 9436422737.
Apart from Tenyimi, this open Naga wrestling championship is open to the interested wrestlers from outside Nagaland state as well.
Registration fee has been fixed at Rs. 500. Last date of submission of form is March 7.
