WOKHA — At least nine people were injured when a private night super bus bound for Noklak via Tuensang, met with an accident before reaching Coco Bridge (Doyang-Mokokchung Bridge) on Dec. 2 night.
According to additional SP of Wokha, Soriso K Quinker, on receiving information, a team of police rushed to the spot and the district administration also activated the medical team, which administered first aid to all passengers.
The nine passengers, who received minor injuries, were rushed to Civil Hospital, Wokha, while the other passengers left for Tuensang in another vehicle. The driver and the handyman are absconding till the filing of this report.
Sources informed that the over speeding is suspected to be the cause of the mishap.
