8th Frolic Cup: United Falcon Club, MVYO advance to semis

United Falcon Club and Medziphema Village Youth Organisation won their respective matches to advance to the semi-final round of the 8^th Frolic Cup at Medziphema on Monday.

United Falcon Club defeated Ton FC Molvom 2-1. UFC took the lead in the 15^th minute from a free-kick by Viketouzo Vasa. The Ton FC came back with an exact mirror free kick in the 28^th minute from the boots of Jangtinlun. UFC broke the stalemate in the second half when Nourhielhoulie Vasa rattled the net of the TON FC with his right foot in the final minute of the match. 

The Medziphema Village Youth Organisation team defeated Winfield 4-0 to advance to the semi-final. The game saw a fight of midfield dominance and a fine test for both sides’ defence. The MVYO opened the scoring with a diving header from Avika in the 13^th minute followed by a shot from the boot of Langphong in the 16^th  minute. The match was sealed with a fine finish from Thejasetuo in the 55th minute followed by a power kick at close range from Keneisede in the final minute.

• 1^st semi final (12 noon): Amigos Fc vs Fury Fc
• 2^nd semi final (2 pm): United Falcon Club vs MVYO
