Dimapur July 26 (EMN): The 82-year-old man, who was admitted in critical condition at Covid-19 hospital in Dimapur on July 19, passed away at around 2.10 pm Sunday, July 26.
The elderly patient had initially tested positive for Covid-19 by TrueNat on July 18 at Eden Medical Centre, Dimapur. Later, the confirmatory RT-PCR result also returned positive.
A Health official informed that the dead body was handed over to the family members after all the procedures were completed since the Covid-19 hospital in Dimapur has ‘End Life Care’ corner which takes care of the dead body of Covid-19 victims.
‘Once all the disinfections are done at the End Life Care corner, the dead body is transferred to the families for cremation,’ the official explained.
