The seventh edition of the Silver Cup T-20 cricket tournament will commence from March 15 at Jakhama Local Ground, under the theme “Peace and Unity through Cricket”. The annual tournament is organized by the Nepali Baptist Church Youth Department.
Prize money in the tournament will be Rs 70,000 with trophy, citation for the winner, Rs 25,000, trophy and citation for runners up, Rs 5,000 each for the losing semifinalists, Rs 2000 for the ebst disciplined team and individual cash awards of Rs 1500 each for the highest scorer, highest wicket taker and the best wicket keeper. Forms for the tournament are available at Sports World Kohima, Opposite Bank of Baroda, and March 11 is the last date for submission of forms. Entry fee for teams and clubs is Rs 5,000, for churches or colleges Rs 4,000.
