7th Session of Nagaland Legislative Assembly set to begin

Kohima, Feb. 11 (EMN):
The 7th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) will begin on Friday with the traditional address to the House by Governor RN Ravi at the Assembly Secretariat.

The governor's address will be followed by obituary references.

Members of the legislative assembly and others attending the session have undergone Covid testing.

Several burning issues, including the Naga political issue and Covid situation in the state are expected to be discussed during the session.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who also holds the Finance portfolio, will present the budget for the year 2021-2022.

The Assembly session will end on February 20.
