7th Frolic Cup: Amigos FC, Paohao Memorial FC book semi-final berths
Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): Amigos FC and Paohao Memorial FC (PMFC) booked their semi-final berths at the ongoing 7th Frolic Cup in Medziphema on Wednesday.
In the first quarter-final, Amigos FC defeated Patkai Christian College with a comfortable margin of 5-1. Nyithung scored the opening goal in the 8th minute followed by a hatrick from Sinlo in the 14th minute and a hatrick by Shalo in the 24th, 62nd and 70th minute, an update informed.
The consolation goal for the Patkai team came from Robin at 40 minute. PMFC booked their semi-final berth after edging past Falcon United Club Juniors with a solitary goal. Despite the constant attack from both sides, the solitary goal was the deciding factor for the match. The goal came from Ratobe of PMFC in the 5th minute.
Meanwhile, Raven Club made it to the quarter-final after defeating Ukigei FC with a solitary goal. The goal came in the second half through the boots of Janghao Chongloi in the 45th minute.
The Raven Club will face Kuki Youth Club, while SWAT FC will take on Tribal United in their respective quarter-final matches on Thursday (March 31).
