786 samples sent for testing

Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): The total number of suspected Covid-19 samples sent for testing from Nagaland rose to 786 on Thursday.

In an update, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that results for 58 samples are awaited and the remaining 728 have tested negative.

“As regard the financial assistance in the form of cash grant to persons from Nagaland stranded, or in distress outside the state, due to the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown, till now, a total of 17,439 applicants comprising of 13,159 working people, 4,112 students and 168 patients have been provided assistance by transferring the amounts to their bank accounts,” he said.
