Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): Personnel of 78 battalion CRPF, stationed at Zubza in Kohima district, observed the 80th CRPF anniversary day on March 19. To mark the occasion, guard of honour with wreath laying ceremony at Jai Jawan Memorial was organised in which the officers and men of the unit paid homage to those who have sacrificed their lives on the altar of duty.
Ram Chandra, second-in-command of 78 Bn CRPF, along with senior officers and jawans laid wreaths and paid homage to the martyrs at the Jai Jawan memorial. A debate competition was also arranged on the subject of operation duties of CRPF.
Every year, the CRPF anniversary day is celebrated on March 19. On the occasion, 78 Bn CRPF organises various programmes including competitions on debate, badminton, and drawing competition for children. Special prizes were also distributed who secured first, second and third place besides consolation prizes to all participants.
