759 senior citizens vaccinated in Nagaland

Dimapur, March 4 (EMN): As many as 41,099 doses of Covishield vaccine have been administered across Nagaland since the vaccination drive was initiated in the state along with the rest of the country on January 16.

An update from State Immunisation Officer, Dr. Ritu Thurr informed that 759 senior citizens aged 60 years and above, and 76 persons aged between 45-59 with comorbidities have been inoculated till date without any adverse events that needed medical intervention.

The vaccination will continue for the citizens across all notified Covid-19 vaccination centres in the state, it was informed.

The update went on to add that 16.6 million doses of Covishield and Covaxin vaccines have been administered across the country as on March 4 and that left out healthcare and frontline workers will continue to get vaccinated across all sessions sites along with the age-appropriate high-risk groups.
