73 active Covid-19 cases in Nagaland; 125 recovered so far

Dimapur, June 19 (EMN): Five more Covid-19 positive cases were recorded on Friday, taking the total number of positive cases to 198 in the state.
According to the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, two patients were from Mon quarantine centre and Kohima quarantine centre respectively and one from Dimapur quarantine centre.
As of June 20, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 125 patients as recovered and 73 active cases in the state. The current recovery rate is 63%.
In his daily briefing, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that all the 73 active cases were asymptomatic.
“As per the distribution of the 198 cases by age, there are four cases between 0-17 years, 187 cases between 18-44 years, five cases between 45-64 years and two cases between 65-74 years. As per the distribution of gender, there are 126 males and 72 females.
“Till date, a total of 8,174 samples have been tested. The results of 6,989 samples have been received and 1,185 samples are awaited. Out of the 8,174 samples, a total of 5,101 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima till today (June 19), and a total of 4,479 samples have been tested,” he informed.
Also, Sinha said that Nagaland Cabinet in its meeting on Friday received briefings on the overall Covid-19 situation in the state from the departments of Health and Home.
