7 Nagaland legislators attending workshop in Delhi

Legislators from Nagaland who are currently attending a workshop in New Delhi.

Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): Seven legislators from Nagaland are participating in the ongoing two-day workshop-cum-conference which is underway in New Delhi.

An update from Deputy Director of PRO (IPR) informed that the workshop is hosted by P R S Legislative Research at India International Centre, New Delhi, for state legislators of Northeast India

Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, G Kishan Reddy delivered the keynote address at the inaugural function on Thursday.

It was informed that an intensive discussion as held on topics like effective legislative engagement; understanding budget and state finance; and fund flow to north east states through central schemes on day-one of the workshop.

The update went on to inform that topics namely 15th Finance Commission Recommendations; and Act East Policy; challenges and opportunities for North East will be discussed on the second and final day of the workshop on Friday.

The legislators from Nagaland who are attending the workshop are: Tongpang Ozukum, Dr. Neikesalie Kire, Mhathung Yanthan, K T Sukhalu, H Khehovi Yepthomi, H Haiying and Medo Yhokha. The update went on to inform that they were accompanied by Khruohituonuo Rio, Addl. Secretary of Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
