12 candidates including Nagaland Deputy CM file nominations from Wokha on Monday

A total of seven candidates, including incumbent Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Yanthungo Patton filed their nomination papers from Wokha district on Monday to contest the general election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

Accompanied by Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda and former MLA Yankithung Yanthan, Patton filed his nomination paper before the Returning Officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, K. Furhesie Nyuwi, on BJP ticket for 37 Tyui AC. Yibemo Kikon of RJD party also filed his nomination papers to contest from the constituency on the same day.

For 39 Sanis AC, as many as six candidates, namely Mhathung Yanthan of NDPP, Dr. Roland Lotha of NPF and Sulanthung H Lotha of LJP(RV), Senkathung Jami of RJD, Yanchamo Ovung of INC, and Michael Mhonbemo N Lotha, Independent -- filed their nomination papers before the Returning Officer of Sanis on February 6.

For 38 Wokha AC two candidates -- Renpothung Ezung of BJP and Mhonbemo Humtsoe of NCP -- filed their nominations, while Achumbemo Kikon of NPF and Tsungro Kithan of NPP filed their nominations for 40 Bhandari AC.
