6,265 houses completed in Nagaland under PMAYG

DIMAPUR — In Nagaland state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAYG), a total of 6,265 houses have been completed at the cost of INR 100.4 crore from during the period May 15, 2015 to April 21 2023.

PMAY (Gramin) is a social welfare programme launched by government of India to provide housing for the rural poor in India.

According to the data provided in the CM dashboard a total of 29,349 beneficiaries has registered under the scheme, 27,529 houses geotagged and 22,990 houses sanctioned in the state.

District-wise data shows that Tuensang district has the highest number of houses completed with a total of 1,894 at the cost of INR 26.62 crore, and the number of beneficiaries registered is 6,431, houses geotagged is 6414, and 5,202 houses sanctioned.

Meanwhile, Mon has the highest number of beneficiaries registered with a total of 9,535 beneficiaries, 7,980 houses geotagged, 6,589 houses sanctioned and 1,488 houses completed at the cost of INR 22.44 crore.

Among the districts data shows that Kohima has the lowest number of beneficiaries registered with a total of 630, out of which 629 houses geotagged and sanctioned and 160 houses completed at the cost of INR3.57 crore.

Data of other districts shows that Dimapur has 1,361 beneficiaries registered, 1,326 houses geotagged, 1,323 houses sanctioned nad 552 houses completed at the cost of INR 7.67; Mokokchung has 986 beneficiaries registered, 946 houses geotagged, 908 houses sanctioned and 238 houses completed at the cost of INR 4.23 crore; Phek has 1,582 beneficiaries registered, 7,980 houses geotagged, 6,589 houses sanctioned and 1,488 houses completed at INR 3,99 crore.

Wokha has 1,070 beneficiaries registered and houses geotagged, 1,058 houses sanctioned and 235 houses completed at INR 4.6 crore; Zunheboto has 1,147 beneficiaries registered, 1,145 houses geotagged and sanctioned and 252 houses completed at INR 3.49 crore; Peren has 1,885 beneficiaries registered, 1,883 houses geotagged, 1859 houses sanctioned and 290 houses completed at INR 7.54 crore.

Kiphire district has 3,447 beneficiaries registered, 3,429 houses geotagged, 2,005 houses sanctioned and 378 houses completed at INR 6.82 crore; Longleng has 1,275 beneficiaries registered, 1,275 houses geotagged, 1,266 houses sanctioned and 670 houses completed at INR 9.39 crore. Nagaland
