60th Sasa annual sports meet enters fifth-day

Kohima, Feb. 3 (EMN): Football, volleyball and sepaktakraw commenced at the ongoing 60th Southern Angami Sports Association (Sasa) annual sports meet at Jakhama local ground and Kimipfiiphe ground, Kigwema on Thursday.

In men’s football played at Jakhama ground, Viswema Youth Organisation defeated Kigwema Youth Organisation 1-0, while Kidima Youth Organisation blanked Khuzama Youth Organisation 3-0 at Kimipfiiphe ground.

Jakhama Youth Organisation defeated Phesama Youth Organisation 3-2 via tie breaker, while Kezoma Youth Organisation overpowered Kezo Basa Youth Organisation 3-0.

In men’s volleyball, Kezo Basa Youth Organisation defeated Kidima Youth Organisation, while Mima Youth Organisation emerged victorious against Khuzama Youth Organisation.

Kezo Town Youth Organisation downed Phesama Youth Organisation in another men’s volleyball match played at Kimipfiiphe ground.

In women’s volleyball, Kigwema Youth Organisation defeated Viswema Youth Organisation in a straight three set, while Kidima Youth Organisation beat Jakhama Youth Organisation.

Phesama Youth Organisation defeated Kezo Town Youth Organisation in another match.

In men’s sepaktakraw, Viswema Youth Organisation defeated Jakhama Youth Organisation in the first match, while Jakhama Youth Organisation overpowered Kidima Youth Organisation in the second match.

Viswema Youth Organisation registered a win over Kidima Youth Organisation in the third match.

Meanwhile, Kigwema Youth Organisation will play with Kezoma Youth Organisation in the women’s volleyball semi finals on February 4.

In the other women’s volleyball semi final, Phesama Youth Organisation will face Kidima Youth Organisation.

In the men’s volleyball semifinals, Kezoma Youth Organisation will clash with Mima Youth Organisation, while Kigwema Youth Organisation will face Kezo Town Youth Organisation.

Jakhama Youth Organisation will clash with Viswema Youth Organisation in the men’s football semi finals, while Kidima Youth Organisation will face Kezoma Youth Organisation in the other semi final game.

Viswema Youth Organisation will face Jakhama Youth Organisation in the men’s sepaktakraw final and Kidima Youth Organisation will clash with Viswema Youth Organisation in the final of women’s sepaktakraw on February 4.

Kevingoto Kulnu, EAC (Revenue), Kohima attended the event as the patron on Thursday.

The closing function will take place on February 4 at 2 pm in Jakhama local ground with Videlalie Zashümo, IPS, DIGP Borders, Dimapur as the closing guest.

There will also be a football exhibition match between Sasa and Southern Angami Youth Organisation (Sayo) on February 4 at 1:30 pm.
