5th NAP men in Delhi cry for due perks

THE 5th NAP Battalion posted in New Delhi has put up their grievances before State DGP for early redressal to avoid further complication in future.
In an open letter to the DGP today, the non-commissioned officials, jawans and NCEs of the battalion posted in Delhi said the TA paid to them for last six months is very less in comparison to the TA paid to other NAP battalions posted in Delhi.Lamenting that city allowances paid to them were also less, the letter said salary to the non-commissioned officials, jawans and NCEs of the 5th Battalion was never given on time.
Besides, rations provided to them of poor quality and are not sufficient as also NACP for non-commissioned officials and jawans of 5th NAP Battalion was not taken up for the last three years, the letter complained.
The non-commissioned officials, jawans and NCEs of the battalion also urged the DGP to transfer the Deputy Commandant (Quarter Master), 5th NAP Battalion Phek at the earliest as they do not want to work under him for his alleged ill treatment to them. They demanded that an IPS officer (Commandant) be posted to NAP, Delhi to after the welfare of jawans since responsibilities and working system in the metropolitan city are very different from that of affairs in Nagaland.
