The non-commissioned officials, jawans and NCEs of the battalion also urged the DGP to transfer the Deputy Commandant (Quarter Master), 5th NAP Battalion Phek at the earliest as they do not want to work under him for his alleged ill treatment to them. They demanded that an IPS officer (Commandant) be posted to NAP, Delhi to after the welfare of jawans since responsibilities and working system in the metropolitan city are very different from that of affairs in Nagaland.
