5th Master Shield Trophy: Tritons enters semi-final round

Tritons are through to the semi-final round of the 5th Master Shield Trophy 2021 beating Skylark CCC in the quarter-finals by 36 runs. Tritons will now play against the defending champion Trebuchet in the semi-final match.

After winning the toss, Triton opted to bat first and posted a total knock of 163/8 from their 20 overs. Nchumbemo scored 57 runs off 48 balls and Tapitu, 38 runs off 33 balls in the first innings while Vijay picked four wickets and Temjenmeren two wickets for Skylark.

In response, Skylark took charge and smashed some boundaries but where soon brought under control by Tritons. As the match progressed, the required target for Skylark started to widen as their wickets dropped at regular intervals.

Triton knocked down all their wickets by 18.3 overs and ultimately Skylark’s way to semi-finals were sealed.

Daniel was the only player who crossed 50 runs from Skylark. He scored 55 runs off 51 balls. Rachio and Rahul picked up two wickets each in the second innings.
