Dimapur, Feb. 27: Five persons including a child were injured in a road accident along the NH 29 at Chumukedima on Monday.
According to Dimapur traffic police – zone II, an SUV (Mahindra Xylo) carrying a Zunheboto-based pastor and his family fell some 70-80 feet down a gorge. The accident occurred at around 12.30 pm on Monday.
The family was coming down to Dimapur from Zunheboto. Till the filing of this report, the police were yet to ascertain the cause of the accident. The injured list includes the driver of the vehicle, the pastor, his sister, wife and four-year-old son.
The police also informed that the injured persons were taken to a private hospital for treatment. They were reported to be out of danger now.
