Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): Five frontline workers and two returnees at Phomching town in Mon district tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.
According to a Health official at Phomching, the results have been confirmed through RT-PCR tests.
The official informed that the two returnees, who had tested positive, were from Phomching quarantine centre. All the positive cases have been admitted to Covid-19 care centre at Mon town.
Consequently, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Mon, Thavaseelan K, has issued an order restricting public movement within one kilometre radius of Phomching town.
According to the DC, the order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain until further notice. Violators have been warned of penalty as per law.
