5-day training for Nagaland AROs commences

DIMAPUR — A five-day certification programme (phase I) for assistant returning officers (AROs) of Nagaland in view of the forthcoming election to the Lok Sabha commenced on Monday at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) in Kohima.

According to an update, phase I of the training programme will conclude on February 9. It is being conducted by national-level master trainers (NLMTs) as resource persons deputed by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The various sessions as part of the training will comprise nomination, including instructions on criminal antecedents; scrutiny of nomination; withdrawal of candidature and allotment of symbol; model code of conduct; qualification and disqualification; e-roll; district election management plan; SVEEP; service voter portal; EMS; ETPBS; NGRS; observer portal; IT application, including nomination, permission, poll day, counting, etc.; ERO-Net; postal ballot; polling party and poll day arrangement, including polling stations; vulnerability mapping; expenditure monitoring; paid news and MCMC; EVM-VVPAT administrative procedure; EVM-VVPAT hands-on; ETPBS; counting and declaration of result.
