4th Generation Maruti Swift launched in Kohima
KOHIMA — The 4th Generation Maruti Swift was launched on Tuesday at the Seyie Auto Maruti Suzuki Arena car showroom in Kohima.
Kuolachalie Seyie, CEO of the showroom; Makuni Thaimei, assistant general manager of State Bank of India, Kohima Branch; M J Kandula, chief manager of Bank of Baroda, Kohima Branch; and social activist Neiketu Iralu officially unveiled the new car.
Speaking on the occasion, Iralu commended the various accolades won by the employees, attributing their success to their positive “human elements.” He emphasised that human traits determine every sector of life, be it in business, education, government, or institutions.
He cautioned that negative human factors could bring down Naga society, but expressed hope and inspiration in the positive results achieved by the showroom’s crew members.
Kuolachalie Seyie informed Eastern Mirror that over a hundred people are employed at their auto dealership and workshop.
Cheno Seb, the showroom’s internal trainer, explained the Swift’s journey, noting that the first generation debuted in 2005, the second in 2011, the third in 2018, and the fourth this year.
He detailed the specifications, stating that the all-new Swift, which is available in both monotone and dual-tone colours, has a new design centred on comfort and safety.
It comes with a Z series engine with three cylinders powered by a 1.2-litre engine, offering a mileage of 25.75 km per litre in automated manual transmission (AMT) and 28.40 km per litre in manual transmission (MT).
The car produces a maximum power of 60 kilowatts at 5700 revolutions per minute (RPM) and a maximum torque of 111.7 Newton-metres (Nm) at 4300 RPM.
