The 4th Aries Rifle & Pistol Shooting Championship and selection for the Nagaland State Rifle & Pistol Shooting Competitions, the XXIII All India G. V. Mavlankar Shooting Championship and the 57th National Shooting Championship Competitions 2013 will be held tentatively from September 24 to 27 at the Aries Rifle & Pistol Shooting Academy (ARAPSA) Shooting Range, NST Colony, Dimapur.
The championship will be conducted in 5 Events:
1) 10M Air Rifle (National Rule- 40 pellets): Senior, junior and youth both men and women.
2) 10M Air Pistol (National Rule-40 pellets): Senior, junior and youth both men and women.
3) 10M Air Rifle Prone Position (ARAPSA Rule-40 pellets): Senior, junior both men and women.
4) 10M Air Pistol Precision Course, Duelling Course (ARAPSA Rule-30 rounds):
Senior and junior both men and women.
5) 10M Rapid Fire Pistol (ARAPSA Rule-30 rounds): Only seniors both men and women.
Any shooter both men and women can join in any number of events informed a press release received here.
The championship carries a total cash award of Rs.11, 40,000 for shooters who score the Minimun Qualifying Score (MQS) of the ARAPSA. However, terms and conditions apply for shooters already participated at championships conducted by National Rifle Association of India. Interested shooters can come for practice for the championship from September 4 onward from 11.00 am daily. The registration fees for seniors will be Rs.500 for each event and fees for junior and youth will be Rs.400. The cost of pellets and targets will be extra for each event.
