43 placed under home quarantine at Nagarjan

Dimapur, April 15 (EMN):

43 persons residing at D colony of Kuda C Khel in Nagarjan of Dimapur have been placed under home quarantine after news of the persons, working as daily wage earners in Marwari Patti, broke, amid the coronavirus scare.

The president of the Kuda Youth Council (KYC) informed Eastern Mirror that the 43 people and their families are under surveillance. They have been placed in home quarantine as they were working as maids and staffs of various establishments at Marwari Patti.

“We have sealed the colony and marked their homes with an ‘X’ and a ‘Q’ in each house so that it can be identified. If required, we will send for testing after the quarantine period is over,” the group’s president informed .

The youth leader informed that on April 14, as soon as the news broke, the entire colony, including train tracks leading to Sema Tilla Colony and Railway Bazaar, were sealed by the council.

“We have listed all their names and preventive measures have been taken as Kuda village is densely populated,” the KYC president said.

Further, he informed that if the families in quarantine need to buy essentials, volunteers have been assigned to buy it for them and deliver it by observing safety measures.
