41st KYO sports meet underway

EMN DIMAPUR, JANUARY 6 The Kiruphema Youth organisation (KYO) sports meet got underway today with Kevichatha Suohumvü, former WADSA president as the chief guest at Kiruphema local ground. Altogether seven groups are competing in the three-day meet which wil include events like football, volleyball and athletics. Addressing the inaugural function, Suohumvü emphasized on the importance of unity inorder to bring peace and development. He added that with unity, the youth will move forward. He also advised the youth to be discipline and further encouraged them to strive for higher achievements in the field of sports. The inaugural function was chaired by KYO president Viketoukho Yavio, while the invocation was pronounced by Neiseto Hesielie, Asst pastor Kiruphema Baptist Church. The welcome address was delivered by Neicasato Visienyü and a special number was presented by Neiriethono Kruneilie. Neingulhoulie Zenyü-u administered the oath to the players and officials. The closing function on January 8 would be graced by Pelhouvisie Hozoyie as the guest of honour.
