41st Aghunaqa Area GB’s Trophy kicks off at Viqheto village

Dimapur, Oct. 31 (EMN): The 41st Aghunaqa Area GB’s Trophy kicked off at Viqheto village at Aghunaqa, Niuland district on Monday.

Minister of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Jacob Zhimomi was the guest of honour.

Zhimomi in his speech appealed to the youths to play sports not just as a hobby but pursue it as a career and contribute to nation-building.

The minister also wished the players to enjoy the game with true sportsmanship and be the bearer of discipline and sports spirit.

He also added that Naga youths have started a new revolution in the field of business and marketing, adding that young people were important contributors to the society today. The programme started with a performance by Hukai village youths, followed by cultural dance and folk songs from Tokishe and Viqheto villages.
