Loyem Memorial School FC wins the 3rd Under-17 Youth Football Tournament in Tuensang, organised by Haat-Jang Brothers.

TUENSANG — The 3rd edition of the Under-17 Youth Football Tournament, organised by Haat-Jang Brothers, was held at Loyem Memorial Astroturf ground in Tuensang from January 3 to the 6th.
A total of nine teams participated in the tournament, where Loyem Memorial School FC emerged as the champion and Donching Yangmei FC secured the runner-up title.
The Golden Boot was awarded to Seleikyu Sangtam from Enchanted Brothers, the Golden Glove was received by Moa Toshi from Kings United Longkhim, and the Golden Ball was awarded to Khumba Chang from Loyem Memorial School FC.

The winners received cash prizes, trophies and citations. The champion and runner-up received cash prizes of INR 30,000 and INR 20,000 respectively, which were sponsored by Lima Onen Chang, MLA; IN Somba, proprietor, Nyenshen Football Club, PS and PRO to the minister of Housing and Mechanical Engineering; and Chingmak Kumchuba, former president, ENSF.
The convenor of the tournament, O Kaimang, expressed that the Haat-Jang Brothers was established in 2023 under the motto ‘Where passion meets potential’ as a self-sponsored organisation which aimed at promoting the sport at the grassroots level among youths in the district.
He further expressed his gratitude to all the well-wishers and sponsors for extending their support towards young football enthusiasts of Tuensang.
