3rd phase foothill road work from mid-Jan

Staff Reporter Dimapur, December 21 The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) during an emergency meeting held at its treasurer’s house here on Sunday said the 3rd phase of earth cutting for Nagaland Foothill Road will commence during the second week of January, 2015. As planned, the formal launching of the 3rd phase earth cutting will be started in Mon sector, the committee members said. NFHRCC convener Sobu Jamir told media persons post the meeting that the 3rd phase of earth cutting which is scheduled to be over by March, 2015 will include fresh earth cutting in some divisions while only expansions in some areas. Meanwhile, the NFHRCC appreciated Chief Minister TR Zeliang and the Cabinet Sub-Committee for their constant support towards it while acknowledging R&B Minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu and his department for their wisdom and cooperation in settling the misunderstanding that cropped up in regard to the foothill road project. The NFHRCC also conveyed gratitude to Ao Union Chumukedima for donating an amount of Rs 1,01,130 towards it. The committee further acknowledged all the Naga people for their tireless support towards it through thick and thin.
