38th Urra Village Youth Organisation Sports Meet concludes

CHÜMOUKEDIMA — The 38th edition of the Urra Village Youth Organisation Sports Meet in Chümoukedima concluded on Saturday, with Urra Group B claiming the championship title and Urra Group A finishing second in the men’s volleyball.

In women’s volleyball, Urra Group A emerged as the winners, with Urra Group B securing the runner-up position.

In men’s football, Urra Group B was crowned the champions, triumphing over Urra Boro FC, which claimed the second position.

Individual football accolades featured Dziesevituo Zumu of Urra Group B as the top scorer, Nono of Boro FC as the best goalkeeper, and Suresh of Boro FC as the best defender. The Player of the Tournament title was awarded to Shürhosül Zhotso of Urra Group B.

Thejazo Yaotsu won the championship in Naga wrestling in category I. Akhriezo, Mhalevor Keretsü, and Vizotuo Zhotso finished second, third, and fourth, respectively. In category II, Kezevotuo Yaotsu claimed the winning title, with Mhasi Nagi securing the second position. Kevizol and Kevisezo secured the third and fourth positions, respectively.

Keviseto Temi emerged as the champion in category III. Seyievil Temi secured the second position, while Vivotsol Temi and Kenoseto clinched the third and fourth positions, respectively.

In the junior girls’ 100m race category I, Kikruneinuo Medom emerged victorious, with Ruli Yaotsu and Vimenuo Yaotsu securing the second and third positions, respectively. In category II, Mengunuo Zümvu claimed the first position, while Pelekrienuo and Mezhielenuo Medom clinched the second and third positions, respectively.

The four-day sports meet featured five teams—Urra Group A, Urra Group B, Urra Nagamese CRC, Urra Boro, and Urra Hindu-Muslim.
