3 Nagas win medals at E-Kata National Karate Championship

Dimapur, July 19 (EMN): Three Nagas won medals at the recently concluded E-Kata National Karate Championship, the results of which were declared on July 18. All Nagaland Karate Do Association (ANKA) Karatekas Tiakumba Jamir won silver medal, while Tiabenla Ao and Thsadang Sangtam won bronze medal each during the championship, an update informed.

It said that more than 1000 entries from 60+ teams were received. Due to unexpected participation, a day was extended for the convenience of the judges till July 17 starting from July 14. The organising committee with the approval of the referee commission finally announced the results for publication on the July 18 evening, it informed.

No entry fee was taken from any state, team or individuals for participating in this E-Kata National Championship, it added.
