3 Nagaland officers to receive police medals on Independence Day

DIMAPUR — Three police personnel from Nagaland will receive the President’s Police Medal (PPM) for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day.

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday announced service medals for 954 police personnel on the eve of Independence Day.

T Tsenpemo Kikon, Assistant Commandant of Chumoukedima, has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, out of 82 persons being selected for the award.

Yanrenthung Ngullie, Commandant of Phek, and Sonia Singh, Special Secretary, Nagaland, were among the 642 personnel to receive the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
