3 Nagaland bands selected for Hornbill Int’l Rock Contest

Three bands – Purple Fusion, We the Giants and White Noise- have been selected from Nagaland for the Hornbill International Rock Contest 2013 at the state auditions held here Wednesday at State Academy Hall, Kohima.Altogether twelve Nagaland bands auditioned to vie in the forthcoming Hornbill International Rock Contest 2013 scheduled to be held from December 6 at the Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima. The judges for the auditions were Dr.WabangPongener, ThejoveMedeo and Andrew Ngully.
Lines of Notes, Avancer, Tears of Judas, Stereo Type, Four Fields, Tribal Clash, Trappist, Faded Black and Alien Scheme are the contending bands that had to leave disappointed.
The selected three bands will now join Making Merry and Infuse, who have earlier earned direct entry slots into the competition by winning NSACS ZERO 2013 and Rock Reign 2013 Mokokchung respectively.
The five bands from Nagaland will vie with nineteen bands from India and three bands from aboard in the Hornbill International National Rock Contest 2013.
The competition is being organized by Music Task Force (MTF) Nagaland in collaboration with the department of Youth Resources & Sports and the event is managed by XL.
