Police personnel of Chiephobozou Police Station have arrested one person for smuggling liquor. The police arrested one Nibato Yepthomi, 36 years, of Kuhuboto village under Dimapur for illegally transporting 59 bottles of MC Rum and 120 Kingfisher canned beers. The police were conducting a ‘surprise checking’ along National Highway-2 on January 21 when they intercepted a Mahindra Bolero with the registration NL-07-8883 and made the arrest. A complaint had been lodged against the arrested person.In another case, the police have arrested two persons namely Rajesh Sah, 40 years of Paruana village under Bihar and Sabul Uddin Mojunder, 32 years of Rongpurpi village in Assam on the charges for illegally transporting suspected illegal immigrants in the state capital without ILP and with forged ILP. The complaint was lodged against them by the All Nagaland Taxi Association Kohima Unit, the police informed.
