Dimapur, April 9 (EMN): The 2nd volleyball tournament of Rengma Theological Association (RTA) hosted by the churches of Kasha Daho, kicked off on April 9 on the theme “Exercising self control” with G K Rengma, the president of Rengma Sports Association (RSA), as its special guest.
An update informed that Rengma lauded the RTA officials for organising the tourney and encouraged the 25 participating teams to “win the game through patience and discipline”, while urging the gathering to develop solidarity and respect for each other.
He told the gathering to ‘set an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity’, quoting the Bible.
Dwelling on the theme, he opined that ‘in order to develop self control, one must learn to avoid temptation, focus on life goal, be of service to the society and focus on one goal at a time’.
He also sought the blessings and support of the gathering for the success of the upcoming Platinum Jubilee-cum-tournament of the Rengma Sports Association.
