The tournament director Kikrusetuo Sekhose informed that the tournament has four categories -- men’s singles, veteran’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles.
The cash prize for the men’s singles winner is INR 50,000 and INR 30,000 for the runner-up; and INR 10,000 each for the two semi-finalists.
In veteran’s doubles, the winner will receive INR 25,000, INR 15,000 for the runner- up and INR 5000 each for the two semi-finalists.
In the men's doubles category, the cash prize is INR 30,000 for the winners, INR 20,000 for the runners-up and INR 10,000 each for the two semi-finalists.

Sekhose also informed that the tournament will be held after every two years, and the next edition will be a North-east level tournament.
Speaking during the inaugural programme, Abeio Khate expressed gratitude to the family of late Dr. Savizo for funding the tournament, which started in 2021. He also recalled that the NLTA started in the 1980s and that they had come a long way from a humble beginning.
He expressed that many sports associations in the state do not have a complex of their own but NLTA has its own complex and this reflects the commitment of the founding members of the association.
Kire said that tennis in Nagaland is still at the level of a hobby or recreational activity but he expressed hope that with the coming of age, it will reach the level where the youngsters can represent the country at the international level.
He further encouraged the young players to use the NLTA complex for training themselves and also to maintain their health as the complex is provided freely.
