Kohima, Dec. 13 (EMN): The 2nd Darts Masters hosted by Fun Tree Crew concluded on December 12 at Vivid Lounge in Kohima.
Vikehielie Suohu walked away with INR 20,000 after emerging champion of the one-day competition where 24 players from Kohima and Dimapur districts took part.
Runner-up Lijathung Humtsoe received INR 10,000 while second runner-up was jointly shared by Neiketou Suohu and Burakum Ao.
In the individual category, the best leg award went to Vikehelie Suohu; highest scorer award – Killen Jamir; highest check out award – Neiketou Suohu; most promising player – Reagan Sandham; golden darts award – Lanu Pongen.
Yashilemba Longkumer was also given a cash award of INR 2000 for being the first player to register online for the 2nd Darts Masters.
Fun Tree Crew through a press release encouraged young Nagas to take up the “gentleman sports” which according to them is taking players to national and international events. It stated that the game of darts is a “good sport which gives relaxation and mental exercise”.
Mentioning that two Naga dart players have “been exposed to national events” already, the organisers said players have more advantage and scope in the future when the sport is taken up at a young age.
Fun Tree Crew also informed that they are planning to organise and make the third edition of the competition a national event.
